24 hours in Copenhagen with Dickies

Olimme mieheni kanssa viime viikon lopulla pikavisiitillä Köpiksessä tutustumassa Dickies'in Fall'13 -mallistoon. Jos Dickies ei ole tuttu merkki, kannattaa piipahtaa osoitteessa dickies.eu tai dickies.com.  Lyhyesti kerrottuna merkki on perustettu vuonna 1922, ja sen lähtökohta on "All American Work Wear", ja työvaatteista merkin taival on lähtenytkin. Moni saattaa muistaa 90-luvulta merkin Chinos-housut, jotka ovat varmasti yksi sen tunnetuimmista tuotteista. Merkillä on kuitenkin vaatteita laaja valikoima niin työhön, vapaa-aikaan, skeittareille, hipstereille kuin rockabilly-henkisillekin.

Mallistoon tutustumisen jälkeen shoroomilla alkoi kuulemma jo perinteeksi muodostunut ralli, kun laitoimme kypärät päähän ja huristelimme menemään moottoroidulla vanhusten menopelillä/istuimella (mikähän sen oikea nimi on..?). Yhdestä noista instagaram-räpsyistä voi bongata allekirjoittaneen hurjan ilmeen maalisuoralla - ja sillä ilmeellä ei edes sijoituttu, lopputulos viimeinen. Illalla menimme D-Diner nimiseen 50-lukuhenkiseen ravintolaan syömään, jossa oli ihan mahtavat quesadillat ja burgerit - suosittelen jos siellä päin liikutte!

In a nutshell, the brand has been founded 1922, and it's basis is "All American Work Wear". They started with work wear, and now days they have selection of garments suitable for example for work, street wear, skaters, hipsters and rockabillys to mention just few.

After we had checked out the clothes, we started the traditional Dickies showroom rally driving with this motorized elder people vehicle (kinda like chair with wheels and steering wheel - don't know what this thing is called). You can see my fierce face from one of the instagram pics - I still placed last :)
Last, we went to have a dinner to a 50's themed restaurant called D-Diner. The best quesadillas ever, and burgers were great too - I highly recommend this place if you go to Copenhagen!
